This guy spent most of the day yesterday making potions! As you can see in his laboratory, he has lotion, hand sanitizer, food coloring, water, lip gloss, glitter. Haha! He started off wanting to make an invisibility potion and found some videos of little girls making potions on youtube-hence the lip gloss and glitter:) Oh he also has his ipod set up to record himself for each potion. He wants his video posted on youtube, but there's no way I'm putting him on there. He also made a Christmas potion, Rare Black potion, weakness potion, Orange egg potion, fire resistance potion, the list goes on. Glad he had fun experimenting because it was quite the mess! I found glitter on Brooks today!
Like most kids, this guy is protesting bedtime. Already?? Brennan got this onesie when he was a wee one and it actually didn't pertain to him. We thought it was appropriate for Brooks though.
Nothing's wrong, just testing you.
Here is getting a bath so actually justified in his crying:) He still hates baths, getting his diaper changed, pretty much anything that involves being messed with. I feel bad for him because he is just so sensitive. He startles at the smallest thing:(
He's been a little fussy starting between 6 and 8 at night since he has been home, but now it's pretty consistent and lasts for 2-3 hours. It's not constant crying, but he is definitely tired and definitely fighting sleep.
Here is daddy taking his turn at trying to calm him:)
Lately it has been coming down to the 5 S's-all of them! If you aren't familiar, it is from The Happiest Baby on the Block. Swaddle (which he pretends to hate, but ultimately sleeps better after), side or stomach (I usually just hold him on his side toward me), suck (thank goodness for Greenie), Swing (swaying him back and forth) and walking around and Shhh (shushing). Sometimes just a few of them work, but lately it's been all 5.
He is so sweet and snuggly:) Hopefully I don't jinx myself, but he sleeps well at night getting up every 3 hours and goes right back to sleep.
Sometimes he goes to sleep easily during the day, but sometimes I swaddle him and walk him around the house and we listen to music. Here he is falling asleep while we're walking around. Those sweet sleepy eyes♥
During the day he has 1-2 periods where he is awake for a couple hours and he is so alert and likes to look at his little toys and mobile:)
The nurse came for her last visit on Wednesday. Everything looks good and his weight was 6lb 14oz. By now I'm thinking he should be over 7 lbs. He is still eating great. We don't go back to the pediatrician until February 28th-it is going to be hard not knowing what he weighs until then! We're used to daily then twice weekly weights:)
My two sleeping angels♥
