The field trip was at Shaw Nature Reserve. Right now Brennan is learning about gardening and bugs and nature so it was appropriate for his teacher to choose this place. I have to admit at first I thought it would be kind of boring, but it wasn't. This place is beautiful and they have about 2,000 acres! We walked along trails and looked for animals, flowers, bugs. The kids got these little worksheets and pens to cross off the animals they found.
Checking things off their list:)
The kids got a lot of hands on with flowers, bugs, water...all things Brennan enjoys:)
a snail
a turtle shell
Gorgeous view
This is a very "earth friendly" place so the teacher made reusable lunch totes. Aren't they the cutest?!
Brennan had a lot of fun-until the end when his sleepiness caught up to him and he didn't want to walk, or do much of anything for that matter;) So he ended his trip with a nap on the bus.
What a neat place! He is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, I appreciate hearing from someone who gets it:)) Very much.
