Brennan started swim lessons tonight. He had a lot of fun and tried really hard. He is in a more advanced class because I didn't want him with younger kids (bigger kids/higher levels seem to encourage him more) and the class level he was in last time was full. So he is officially a Guppy:)
He should probably be in the lower level, but the teacher said he has retained what he learned well so she thinks he will be okay. Three of the kids were pretty much farther ahead of him (it's an age 6-12 class) and there were 3 others that were about the same as him so he did pretty good. It's the teacher we love too which is a bonus! He says he wants to do swim team this summer so we will see how that goes. I think we have a lot of practicing to do!
In other news, he has decided that he doesn't want to do karate. I'm not really sure why, but I think swimming and karate would be a little too much anyway. They are both in the evening (karate 2 nights/week) and he is so exhausted by evening time because he gets up so early. I am kind of happy to free up those 2 nights. I might actually get to go to some yoga classes again:)
Brennan was reading a cat book with Casey the other day and in the book they had made a kitty condo for the cat. Well then Brennan wanted to make a kitty condo for Boots. He found this box in the garage and I cut a door out and Boots actually did seem to like it:)
He wrote "Boots" and drew a paw, a flower for her and a mouse:)
