100 books!

We started a goal for reading in the beginning of the school year. There was a toy he wanted so I challenged Brennan to reading 50 books to get the toy. Here he is October 1st with his toy:)

At first I felt like it was a lot because he was just beginning, but I wanted him to work hard for it. He read 2 a day for a long time. Now we read at least one a day on school days and try to sneak one in other times. He has grown in his reading so much! Now that he is more confident it is much less of a struggle getting him to read. I offered this time that he didn't have to choose a toy (he has enough-really!) so he chose to go to Chuck E. Cheese...maybe the toy would have been better (for me)!

Here he is with his 100th book for the year.

Ready for games!

He got meet with Chuck:)

Those dang tickets they win, you need like 5,000 to get anything decent. He chose pure sugar fun dip and some stupid little toy that will most likely end up in the trash tomorrow.

It was fun to see him having a blast and getting to participate in a fun outing that he worked so hard for!
