I want to share this Baby Loss E-Book about infant loss. Kristine wrote this after her perfectly healthy newborn died at home 5 days after she was born due to an undiagnosed congenital heart defect to help friends and family offer support to their loved ones facing a similar tragedy. It really has some great tips in it and is very well written (in terms of the advice and describing how a mother feels after they come home without their baby) I'm sharing for anyone who stumbles upon this post and has friends or family asking what they can do to help. She is also working with savebabies.org and their advocacy for newborn screening to make sure that no other parent leaves the hospital without their baby due to omission of simple tests that can detect important disorders. On the website you can find a list of what tests your state performs and some of them do not test everything, but you can request the additional tests if they aren't on the list. I think there is a packet that you can request that has all of the information.
